Burst.net closes 70,000 WordPress blogs linked to terrorist activities… What a shame!

Little known WordPress based website Blogetery.com was mysteriously dropped by its long standing web host, Burst.net. The Blogetery.com site was home to 70,000 blogs, and so this understandably left a lot of customers frustrated and confused. At the time, it was rumoured that the website had its hosting removed because of copyright and file sharing issues, however this turned out to not be the case.

After initially refusing to comment, Burst.net has revealed that the 70,000 blogs run on the site had to be removed after one contained references to terrorist activities. This caused the FBI to prick up their ears and take an interest in a tiny minority of Blogetery.com’s content.

However, after issuing an order to gain access to Burst.net’s servers and further investigate the blogs in question, Burst.net decided to cut off Blogetery.com’s hosting. Despite the vast majority of lawful users, the entire Blogetery.com network was removed from the web thanks to a handful of irresponsible users.
