English is set as the default language for any WordPress.com blog. But you can change this default language to your own native language. At the moment, WordPress.com support more than 130 different languages. Today I’ll show you how to specify the language of your blog.

In order to change the language in WordPress blog one need to perform the following steps:

  1. Login into WordPress Blog Administrator Control Panel.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click on General.
  4. Select the desired Language from the drop down menu at Language section.
  5. Click on Save Changes.

This process will change the language of the blog, but the WordPress.com interface will remain in English. Now, if you want to change interface language, please follow these steps.

  1. Click on the link modify the interface language just under the language option.
  2. Find Interface language under Personal Options.
  3. Select the desired Language from the drop down menu and click on Save Changes.

Hope the steps were very easy for you. However, please remember these steps will not work for self-hosting WordPress blogs, will only for WordPress.com blog.
