How to add a 3D tag cloud in WordPress blog?

Some bloggers fancy adding 3D tag cloud in their WordPress blog sidebars or footer column area. Here is a small tutorial on how to add a 3D tag cloud in WordPress blog.

Personally I use WP-Cumulus plugin for 3D Tag cloud. It allows you to display your site’s tags, categories or both using a Flash movie that rotates them in 3D. It works just like a regular tags cloud, but is more visually exciting. Clicking the tags can be a little hard (depending on your speed setting) but does take you to the appropriate page.

Once you install the plugin, you will find a widget to add 3D tag cloud in the sidebar. However, if you want, you can always place the tag cloud manually. You just need to write the following piece of code:

<?php wp_cumulus_insert(); ?>

You can also add tag cloud in your blog post, just type [wp-cumulus] anywhere in the content.

WP-Cumulus allows you to change background color, tag color, rotating speed etc. Visit plugin homepage for detailed instructions and faqs.
